Etching, proofed on Saunders paper.

Description: The plate was etched leaving the central strip clear, which was later polished. Some sections were fairly deeply etched, and the circular shapes were etched with nylon texture passed over soft-ground till the texture disappeared, leaving a transparent black.  The middle section was scraped till only the

slightest texture of the open bite remained.  The intaglio was red mixed with black and well wiped, especially in the central strip. A thin blue was rolled on with a soft roller, followed by a thin green with a medium roller. Roth these colours were rolled on laterally.

Printed, etched and proofed by the artist at Hayter's Studio, 1967, 2 copies, 3 colours printed in one passage through the press.
